How it works

List Inmate (2-4 mins)
After a simple registration, an account will be directed to an inmate registration form. A single account can list as many inmates as possible.

Profile Creation
Upon payment, an inmate profile will be automatically created. This will contain insights into their interests, aspirations, and personal stories. There is no limits on profile updates/edits.

Share and Grow
Enhance your penpal experience by utilizing features like interactive blogs, photo sharing, and community outreach. This is because HeyInmate is a secure space that attracts people from all walks of life who value empathy and understanding.
New Listings
What We Offer
Personal Blog
Create as many blog posts as you want for any topic/category that you choose as long as it is not vulgar or x-rated.
Non-Delete
Only the profile creator can delete a profile. For non-payment, profile won't be searchable or highlighted but the links will still work.
Photos & Videos
Add an album of as many photos as you want to enhance your profile. A profile can be updated as many time as possible.
Wishlist
We have created a dedicated area where you can list your wants and an easy way for your penpals to support you.
Reentry Resources
HeyInmate together with your penpals and like-minded organizations will provide support and encouragement.
Pro Bono
This is one of our blog categories where we provide guidance on how to present you case to pro-bono organizations.
